Magic Cinema ViewFinder 1.8.10

Magic Cinema ViewFinder provides a precise framing preview for real Blackmagic camera and lens combinations, allowing professionals in filmmaking to visualize their shots during preproduction. This app operates as a stand-alone director's viewfinder and should not be mistaken for an external monitor.

The app includes ad banners which can be disabled through an in-app purchase. Supported cameras include Blackmagic URSA 4.6K/URSA Mini, Blackmagic URSA, Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro, Blackmagic URSA Broadcast, Blackmagic BMCC, BMPC 4K, Blackmagic Micro Cinema/Pocket/4K.

Magic ViewFinder simulates the use of tele adapters or anamorphic optics on your camera, and allows you to select the aspect ratio of the frame guide overlaying your image. Additionally, you can apply commonly used color presets (LUTs) to the live picture for a more accurate representation of the final shot.

Once you have found the right view, you can save it for future reference along with additional data like focal length, date and time, and camera/lens information. During photography, you have control over exposure lock and auto focus.

The app offers options for constant auto-focus mode or temporarily locking focus. You can also tap the live screen to focus on specific objects. White balance works in Auto, Locked, or Manual mode.

If the field of view of your real camera is wider than your device's in-device camera, the app adds padding around the image to compensate.

Note that the position of your iPhone/iPad should correspond to the 'nodal point' of your real lens.

The app's ads are designed to appear non-intrusively and help with development. For additional settings and to disable advertising, you can subscribe or purchase premium features within the 'About the App' menu.

Two in-app purchase options are provided:

1. Premium features: subscription

   • Length of subscription: one month (auto-renewable)
   • Contents of service: Turned off ads and additional options for frame guides, optical adapters, anamorphic indices, more LUTs
   • Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase
   • Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period
   • Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal
   • Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user’s Account Settings after purchase
   • Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable
